Seton Village boasts a number of residents who have worked tirelessly through the years to plant and maintain community gardens and green spaces in the neighborhood. In recognition of these efforts and to further support Green up/Clean up work, Seton Village NPP will launch Bloom Seton Village this Fall under the leadership of Olivia Lewis-Chang, local resident and master gardener.

NPP: How long have you been in business?
SM: I opened Stan’s Service Center in May 2014, so I’ve been here for over 9 years now. Prior to opening Stan’s service, I ran a real estate investment company - buying, selling, renovating real estate, and appraisal services. Real estate is my first passion.

In 2014, my husband was diagnosed with ALS. For the next two years, the people of our town came together in unimaginable ways to love and support my family, so much so that my husband and I discussed that ironically, those two years, while paralyzed, mute and connected to a breathing machine and a feeding tube were the most magical years of his life. This was the truest experience of community one could ever hope to experience, and while community was what we were seeking when we moved to South Orange, we never imagined it would be so boundless as it came to be.
